Sacramenno
This is a collection of paintings I felt urged to create, based on memories and impressions that lodged in my brain as a kid, flying over Sacramento.
Looking out the airplane window, I saw something I didn’t expect: neat rows, green and brown squares, stripes of yellow, a mirror in the middle of a field. It looked like an ocean. A square ocean. Which made no sense. I now know it was a rice paddy. But at the time, my brain short-circuited trying to understand how the Earth, something I thought I knew, could look like that.
